First Look at Brandon Routh’s “Kingdom Come” Superman in CW Crossover “Crisis on Infinite Earths”

While we wait for the Crisis event to kick off this winter, here's your first look at Routh as 'old man' Superman!

Many in the fan community felt Brandon Routh deserved a sequel to his 2006 film Superman Returns, which is why the news he’d play an alternate universe Man of Steel in the Arrowverse’s upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline was met with such excitement last summer.

And now the CW has released the first image of Routh in his Superman suit and damn if they didn’t nail  the 1996 mini-series Kingdom Come look! The Elseworlds comic book series was set in a future that deals with a growing conflict between the visibly out-of-touch “traditional” Justice League and a growing population of largely amoral and dangerously irresponsible new ones.

So while we wait for the Crisis event to kick off this winter, here’s your first look at Routh as ‘old man’ Superman!
