Legends of Tomorrow Confirms Wonder Woman Exists in Their Universe

The CW shows comprising the Arrowverse have been dropping some major DC comics reference as of late. This season has already seen Oliver Queen name-drop Bruce Wayne and a young Kara Danvers interact with her cousin Clark’s computer nerd friend from Smallville, Chloe Sullivan. But tonight, Legends of Tomorrow outdid them all with a major Wonder Woman reference. In the episode, the time traveling team of heroes try to find a displaced Helen of Troy in 1930s Hollywood. She’s stirring up trouble simply because she exists, as competing studio execs battle for her affections and her star power. But once the Legends find her, she becomes enamored with the female team members’ brand of kick-ass feminism. So when the inevitable time comes for Helen to return to her own time and place (ancient Greece or Sparta), Zari (who is actually The Mighty Isis) comes up with a better plan. She alters the historical record to show Helen disappeared mid-way through the Trojan War, and then drops her off on what she calls an “island full of warrior women” that exists in the same time period: Themyscira! Yep! The birthplace of Princess Diana aka Wonder Woman!

Not sure how this alters the timeline, if at all, for the Amazons, but it was a very cool scene.
